Robust milk chilling infrastructure having more than 3.50 lakh litres capacity per day has been established in the clusters of dairy villages in over 15 districts of UT of J&K.
JKMPCL operates with its Head Office at Milk Plant Cheshmashahi Srinagar and Branch Office at Milk Plant Satwari Jammu having aggregated milk processing capacity of 2.5 lakh litres of milk per day.
To further strengthen the dairy ecosystem and meet the growing demand for ultra-high temperature (UHT) processed milk, JKMPCL has established a state-of-the-art UHT Dairy Plant with a capacity of 50,000 liters per day at Milk Plant Satwari Jammu under the scheme of National Program for Dairy Development sponsored by the Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying, Govt. of India. This facility will not only ensure the availability of long-life milk and dairy products but will also serve as a significant milestone in the journey toward a white revolution in the region by way of reaching to more dairy farmers in the uncovered and remotely located villages of J&K.
